The Philadelphia Flyers are currently 9-10-2 with 20 points through 21 games played. They find themselves tied for seventh place in the Metropolitan Division with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

They would finish up their five-game homestand against the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday night. Would they make it a winning one?

The Flyers got the game's first Powerplay as Shea Theodore got called for tripping just 4:57 into the first period. The Flyers couldn't capitalize, however, as they couldn't connect passes on the tape.

The Flyers took a 1-0 lead 8:51 into the first period as Morgan Frost deflected a shot by Rasmus Ristolainen past Golden Knights goaltender Ilya Samsonov. Ristolainen and Tippett picked up the assists.

Travis Konecny found Sean Couturier ahead of the play and he beat Samsonov's glove side. The puck went off the left post and in. This gave the Flyers a 2-0 lead 12:07 into the first period. Konecny received the lonely assist.

Emil Andrae scored his first goal in the NHL just 28 seconds into the second period. He collected Garnet Hathaway's rebound and put it past the blocker of Samsonov. This gave the Flyers a 3-0 lead. Hathaway and Laughton picked up the assists.

The Golden Knights got on the board 7:42 into the second period as Jack Eichel capitalized on a Flyers turnover along the boards. His snapshot beat Flyers goaltender Ivan Fedotov's blocker side. Barbashev tallied the only assist. The score now would be 3-1.

Barbashev pulled the Golden Knights within one 11:32 into the second period as he deposited the puck into a wide-open net. A great pass by Eichel set him up. Eichel collected the only assist and made the score 3-2 Flyers.

Matvei Michkov gave the Flyers their two-goal lead back as he found a loose puck in front of the net and put it top shelf. This occurred 13:18 into the second period. Frost received the lonely assist, and the Flyers would now lead 4-2.

The Golden Knights got their first Power Play at the 18:05 mark of the second period as Sean Couturier got called for hooking. It only took the Knights five seconds to capitalize on the opportunity. Pavel Dorofeyev's slap shot went under Fedotov's glove and into the net. Theodore and Hertl picked up the assists. This made the score 4-3 Flyers.

Tanner Pearson tied the game up at four for the Golden Knights at the 11:55 mark of the third period as his wrist shot from the slot beat Fedotov. Helge Grans failed to pass the puck behind the net and turned it over. Hanifin set him up with a nice pass. Hanifin and Hague received assists.

The Flyers got their second power play of the game as Tomas Hertl was called for tripping at the 13:04 mark of the third period. No goal was scored but the Flyers had a few good chances in tight.

The game then went into overtime. Nicolas Roy picked up a holding penalty to give the Flyers their third power play of the night. They again couldn't capitalize but put eight shots on net.

The game came to an end as Eichel's snapshot would beat Fedotov glove-side in the shootout. He would be the only player to score. The Golden Knights would win 5-4.

The Flyers went 0 for 3 on the Power Play and 0 for 1 on the penalty kill in the game. Their power play struggles continue on home ice.

Fedotov saved 26 of 30 shots, giving him a .867 save percentage on the night.
